Kundrathur — where Lord Murugan stands tall, blessing devotees from the hill. A sacred climb of 84 steps that leads to peace, power, and divine grace.
Events / Kundrathur
The Kundrathur Murugan Temple, located in the outskirts of Chennai, Tamil Nadu, is a sacred hill shrine dedicated to Lord Murugan. What makes this temple unique is that Murugan faces north, which is rare among Murugan temples. Built by the Chola king Kulothunga Chola II, this temple sits atop a hill with 84 steps, offering devotees a spiritual ascent toward divine blessings. The temple is a favorite among pilgrims during Skanda Sashti, Thaipusam, and Karthigai Deepam.
We are dedicated to guiding and uniting the devotees who embark on the divine journey Pathayathirai towards the holy feet of Lord Murugan.
